The Basics of an Explainer Video

Explainer videos provide a great way for you to introduce your company to an audience and tell a memorable story. A good explainer video requires a lot of creativity. There are many different ways to go about making an explainer video.

When it comes to the style of your corporate video, you can take many different approaches…

Many different actions must be taken during the process of producing an explainer video, however, the most important things can be combined into 5 key steps: discovery, script, storyboard, style, and delivery.

Discovery

The discovery phase of production is when you plan out your idea and run through the details of your project.

Script

Whether or not you choose to hire a video production company, the script of your video will take some time to develop. Set aside time to go through all your edits and get several different opinions on your script.

Storyboard

The storyboard phase takes place when you have a good idea of the kinds of visuals you want to include in your video. During this phase of production, you will lay out images of each scene and begin to plan out how you will film them.

Action

This is when you finally start making your video. By now, you should be feeling good about your production plan and be ready to start filming.

Delivery

This is when your video is complete and you are ready to share it with the public. Start by sharing your video on your company’s website, then start sharing it on all your other social media accounts.
